Why Tissue Culture is Important?
Using tissue culture for propagation offers many benefits over seeds and traditional cuttings. The most valuable one being the plants are disease, pest, and mold free. Plants are handled in sterile lab conditions where the air is constantly cleaned by HEPA filters that remove contaminants as small as 0.3 micrometers. In the very rare case that a plant does become contaminated, it is removed from production and subsequently destroyed.
Next, tissue culture allows you to isolate healthy varieties that exhibit the most sought-after traits. With seeds, each seedling is genetically different than the parent plants. You do not know exactly what traits you will get from the seedling. With tissue culture, you get a clone that genetically identical to the parent plant. No worrying if the plant you have will be a male or female. You will get consistency and uniformity, every time.

Genetics Matter
Weather conditions, insects, and mold types can differ greatly across the United States. Just because a variety does well in California or Colorado does NOT mean it will do well in North Carolina, Virginia or other states with active industrial hemp programs. We are actively seeking genetics that are easy to grow and maintain and reduce the risk of damage from insect and mold.
Accurate Data Matters
We make decisions based on numbers and results. Data tracking is very important to us and we take it very seriously. We focus on the implementation of automated production and data collection. The value of automation lies in the efficiency and consistency in data results.
Our Philosophy is very simple, WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER. We are constantly learning and optimizing our processes to produce better results. We are constantly refining our inputs and methods to reduce cost and time to harvest. We are always looking for ways to implement new technology, reduce errors, and product better results.
Lab Tests Matter
We are located in North Carolina and are required by the state to provide lab test showing proof of THC level below 0.3 percent for all industrial hemp varieties we actively research. We do not accept or work with any varieties that have not been tested for THC levels.
Clean Plants Matter
All New varieties brought into our facility are Quarantined for up to two months until it is determined that they are disease and pest free. Any sign of insects, mold, or disease results in immediate termination. We will not risk contamination our entire stock for a few plants.
Proper Identification Matters
We properly label ALL plants in our facility and follow them from seed to harvest. If a plant does not have a tag or is suspected to be mislabeled, it is immediately destroyed. Mislabeled varieties are not acceptable in our facility.
